North Queensland Airports (NQA) owns and operates Cairns Airport, Mackay Airport, and the Mackay Airport Hotel. Cairns Airport serves as the international and domestic gateway to North Queensland, while Mackay Airport provides domestic services and acts as a connection hub for the Bowen and Galilee Basin mining regions. Both airports also support freight and general aviation operations, with Mackay featuring a 4-star hotel located on-site.
As part of the NQA due diligence process, Infravue conducted a comprehensive review of future capex and opex. This included assessing plans for precinct development, car park upgrades, and terminal expansion. Leveraging our experience in airport infrastructure and asset management, we evaluated alignment with NQA’s 5-year and 25-year strategic growth plans and asset management frameworks.
Infravue delivered Vendor Technical Due Diligence services across the portfolio of airport assets. The review covered airside and landside infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, car parks, service systems, security, and baggage handling, ensuring alignment with CASA standards and IATA service level benchmarks.
We also assessed future capacity requirements, growth plans, and associated capital and operational expenditure to confirm readiness for long-term objectives.
